These images were taken between 1985 and 1990. They were created with a Sinar optical camera on black and white negative film, 10x12 and 13x18. The blur and fading effects are exclusively analog. They are composed with various exposures on the same plate, and with synchronized focus shifts with the different exposures, a time-consuming and extremely refined process. The prints are made on photographic paper, with a 13x18 Amplifier enlarger. The print margins and glazes are created with hand-made masks and placed on the marginer at the time of exposure for printing.
